MORE INFORMATION ON BRITANNIA BAY
Bordering Britannia Bay is Shelley Point. Guests staying in Britannia Bay can make use of the 9 hole golf course in Shelley Point Estate. A short 15 minute drive from Britannia Bay is the beautiful town of Paternoster. Paternoster is well-known for its excellent restaurants, attracting local and foreign ‘foodies’ to its shores. The Greek-style white architecture, fisherman cottages and cobbled streets are reason why comparisons are often drawn between the town and Greece. For walkers and runners, a 12km stretch along beautiful coastline takes you from Britannia Bay to Paternoster.
A 35minute drive from Britannia Bay is the town of Langebaan. Langebaan is known for its stunning clear water lagoon. Thousands of tourists flock to Langebaan throughout the year to sail and kite surf on the lagoon. There are also a few great restaurants and bars on the lagoon.
Within an hour drive of Britannia are a handful of excellent wine farms where visitors can wine taste and enjoy lunch. There are also two game farms along the West Coast where the big 5 can be seen.
