Lagoon Farmhouse

Lagoon Farmhouse is a beautifully restored barn originally built in the early 19th century. The property is an oasis among modern Langebaan, and offers beautiful views of the lagoon, which is a short walk away. The farmhouse is charming and rustic, and will appeal to guests looking for a return to old world simplicity  – and no TV.

The main house consists of an open plan double volume living, dining and kitchen space. A large open fireplace can be used for braaing and keeping the home warm. Off the living space is the main bedroom, and separate bathroom. On the upper level is an open plan loft with a double bed and two single beds.

Outside of the main barn is a smaller cottage that accommodates 4 guests in a double bed and two singles. The cottage has an en-suite with shower.

Also on the property is a separate little structure with a living room, otherwise known as the “chill room”. It is perfect for children and teenagers.

The thick original walls keep the home cool in summer. The home does get cold in winter but is  beautifully warmed by the fireplace.

Please importantly note: this home is for those with an appreciation for a rustic original farmhouse and a simpler ‘old fashioned’ way of life, and guests should not have any expectations of mod-cons or luxury. It offers an abundance of charm and beauty.

A few important details: Lagoon Farmhouse is pet friendly; accepts a maximum of 6 adults with 4 children; and guests need to take along their own beach towels!
